Duties:

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts
Monthly insurer underwriting reporting
Review and manage underwriting income statements, balance sheets, cash flows and reconciliation
Ensure that there is staff management, motivation, and training
Improve financial data reports by analysing results; monitoring vacancies; identifying trends; and recommending actions to management, team, and stakeholders

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Honours in Accounting

Experience:

Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in a financial role
Management experience would be an added advantage
Experience in an insurance environment is a MUST!
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

Skills & Competencies:

Sound communication skills
Able to adapt to an ever-changing environment
Problem solving skills’
Able to work well in a team as well as independently
Able to work with and make sense of large amounts of data in a manual environment
