Finance Manager (PART-TIME, 2 DAYS A WEEK)

SUMMARY:

A rapidly growing business who is the first-of-its-kind is currently seeking for a Part-time Finance Manager.
The role would suit an experienced professional who may be putting aside some time to devote to family or may be on a personal pursuit - who wouldn’t mind working 2 days a week.
Your core function will be to oversee the day-to-day finance operations, handle the group reporting, as well as strengthen internal controls and processes. The hours are flexible within reason and subject to the typical reporting deadlines within the business. While hours are limited, you should expect a high level of intensity. It’s meant to be hands-on, rather than a passive caretaker role.

POSITION INFO:

The successful applicant duties include but is not limited to:
-Oversight of day-to-day accounting and finance function
-Management of finance team (currently 2 people)
-Group reporting (including handling the group portfolios – insurance, tax, etc)
-Financial compliance (Income Tax, PAYE, tax, etc)
-Dealing with finance stakeholders (bank, auditors, group)
-Review of payroll
 
Minimum Requirements:
-CA (SA) (can overlook the CA qualification for a strong candidate with at least articles and good relevant experience)
-Experience with a group accounting environment
-At least two years’ experience in operational financial management
-Tax literate, reasonably up to date with IFRS
-Prior experience of accounting software (advantageous)
