SUMMARY:
A Well-known entertainment company based in Cape Town is looking to recruit a Financial Manager who is a self-driven focused individual, with at least 3 yearsâ relevant experience in a managerial position on a 4-5-month fixed term contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

BCom in Accounting, CA (SA) would be beneficial
SA tax and International Financial Reporting Standards experience
Gambling tax would be beneficial
Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, an accounting package (preferably Great Plains) and a fixed asset package
Display effective leadership skills
Ability to work effectively to meet tightly scheduled deadlines
Willing to work overtime (when required)
Attention to detail

Job Description:

Monthly financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews
Monthly preparation and review of taxation and tax compliance (incl. income tax, provisional tax, VAT and gambling tax)
Asset control and fixed asset accounting
Monthly financial reporting to General Manager and Group Finance
Compiling quarterly reports and financial packs for submission to the Board of Directors
Monthly review of payroll calculations performed by the HR department
Weekly cash flow projections
Authorizing of purchase orders, expense claims and payments in line with budget
Co-ordinate annual audit and financial statements
Maintaining of Internal Control Standards
Effective management of staff
