Finance Data Analyst

SUMMARY:
An organisation listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and owns a portfolio of high quality insurance investments in the market is looking for a Finance Data Analyst.

Duties:

• Bridge the gap between traditional accounting profession and technical data aspect of the environment.
• Data support of all financial functions, with a drive to automate and optimise processes
• Development of systems, processes and workflows
• Creation and deployment of reporting to allow for the monitoring and maintenance of functions
• Development of data models
• Liaison with stakeholders within the finance team and broader business stakeholders

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, information systems , Actuarial, Financial Degrees
• 3 - 5 years relevant industry experience
• Experience in developing and maintain data models
• Exposure to finance environment (advantageous)
• Experience in ETL processes (advantageous)
• Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Power BI modelling and reporting
• Experience with Azure (advantageous)
