JOB DESCRIPTION:

We have a vacancy available for a Finance clerk on a 2-3 month Contract in the Mobeni area in Durban.

 

Requirements: 

  • Grade 12
  • 2 -3 years Administration experience
  • MS. Excel
  • Own transport 
  • Available to start immediately 

Responsibilities: 

Rebate Register

  • Locating receiving documents (bill of entry, goods received voucher, delivery notes and weighbridge tickets) for loads received at the various sites
  • Capture all relevant information from the receiving documents on the rebate register, make copies and file
  • Pull a report from the system for manufacturing and disposals using the FIFO method as well as allocating these to each bill of entry
  • Ensuring that the rebate book balances off to zero after each import BOE
  • Maintaining the rebate book on a regular basis
  • Checking all bill of entry documents to ensure that the correct custom codes and rebate user codes are being used
  • Assisting IVS with any queries relating to custom codes
  • Preparing and providing detailed information for SARS audits
  • Identifying non-compliance practices pertaining to rebate transactions
  • Managing the applications for new import permits
  • Managing the renewals of existing permits
  • -Effective communication and follow up meetings with consultant to ensure that rebate books are up to standard
