SUMMARY:
A major fruit exporter with a global footprint is looking for a Finance Clerk to support their Middle East operations. We are looking for an adaptable and positive individual, with excellent communication skills to deal with stakeholders effectively. The successful candidate possesses the ability to adhere to deadlines and international standards, pays attention to detail, has a can-do spirit with creative problem solving skills. Position is based in the Northern Suburbs.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric, tertiary education is an advantage.
2 to 3 years’ experience in an accounting focused role.
Exposure to the manufacturing or farming industry is the ideal.
Good computer software skills (MS Office and Accpac).
Keen attention to detail when processing and adhering to strict deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities:

Adherence to Company policies, IFRS and US Gaap.
Accurate processing of Accounts Receivable invoices and receipts daily.
Accurate and timely processing of Accounts Receivable statements and aging.
Accurate and timely completion of weekly Accounts Receivable balances report.
Accurate processing of Accounts Payable invoices.
Accurate processing of Intercompany invoices.
Reconcile vendor and intercompany statements to ensure timeous, accurate payments – monthly.
Accurate processing of transactions to the General Ledger.
Capture all relevant journals for provisions, depreciation, intercompany as well.
Accurate and timely completion of Month End schedules.
