SUMMARY:
A well-established real estate agency based in Durbanville is seeking to employ a hands-on Finance Assistant. You will be responsible for the full accounts receivable function of the residential leasing department. Must have strong administrative and analytic abilities as well as be able to build and maintain strong links with all tenants to ensure timely collection of outstanding rentals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities (Not limited to):

Preparation and issue of tenant rental invoices.
Account for expenses relating to the property e.g. rental commission and municipal expenses.
Facilitate the payment of these expenses as well as the payment to the owner of the property.
Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
Reconcile tenant statements on a monthly basis.
Constant communication with tenants via telephone and email regarding outstanding rental amounts.

Requirements:

National Diploma in Financial Accounting or Cost Accounting.
3 – 5 years’ experience in an accounts receivable department.
Must be able to capture customer invoices, reconcile the accounts receivable and follow up with tenants when accounts are outstanding.
Experience in working with the Payprop system will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
