Our client based in Montague Gardens is requiring the skills of an experienced Finance Assistant / Administrator to join their growing and successful team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Matric
Excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills.
Be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.
Understand the Basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as Microsoft Office and Pastel (or related accounting package)
Trustworthy, efficient, and organized.
Professional manner and a strong ethical code.

DUTIES

Reporting to the Financial Manager
Providing support to the Accounting Department
Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
Assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports.
Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills
Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with basic accounting principles
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles
Responding appropriately to a vendor, client, and internal requests
Ensuring Accounting Department runs smoothly and efficiently

Salary: R10 000 – R12 000 ctc
