Finance Assistant

SUMMARY:
Our client, an IT company based in Port Elizabeth is in search of a Finance Assistant between the ages of 20 - 35 years.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate would need to:

Do General Admin:
File relevant paperwork for the month
Liase between departments to ensure the smooth running of procedures
Any further duties delegated by supervisor

Manage Accounts Payable:
Capture supplier bills and reconciliations of accounts for month end payments
Ensure creditors details and credit limits are up-to-date in Pastel
Monthly stock take

Manage Acounts Receivable:
Issue client invoices, (ad-hoc and monthly recurring) and delivery notes
Collect overdue accounts
Reconcile discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
Capture and update usage for Bulk Hour Clients with weekly breakdowns to be sent to clients and technical department
ensure debtors details are up-to-date in Pastel
Debit orders - prepare list for loading onto system
Monthly statement run

MINIMUM Requirements:
Matric
Courses in Bookkeeping / Accounting
At least 2 years working experience within an Accounts Department
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
MS Office with intermediate Excel skills
Experience in Pastel
Drivers License and own transport
