POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Finance Assistant

Ref: 3611

Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: R8000 to R10 000 per month CTC

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Matric
• Courses in Bookkeeping / Accounting, advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years working experience within an Accounts Department
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Well presented and spoken, with a disciplined disposition and good work ethics
• Computer literacy - MS Office with at least intermediate Excel skills
• Pastel experience
• Valid drivers license and own transport essential

Key Performance Areas:

• Filing of relevant paperwork
• Liaise between departments to ensure the smooth running of procedures
• Capturing of supplier bills and reconciliations of accounts for month end payment run
• Ensure creditor details and credit limits are up to date in Pastel
• Monthly stock take
• Issuing of client invoices (ad-hoc and monthly recurring) and delivery notes
• Collection of overdue accounts
• Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and / or clients
• Ensure debtors details are up to date in Pastel
• Debit orders – prepare list for loading onto system
• Monthly statement run
