Finance Administrator

SUMMARY:
A well established and stable retail company is looking for a finance administrator to be part of there finance team . The purpose of the job is to provide a specialist financial and general administration support to the logistics department.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Follow up on Supplier invoices/Statements
• Reconcile creditors and prepare payment according to prescribe terms timeously and accurately
• Update and maintain creditor profile in SmartStream and keep audit trail, monitoring and amend payment limit when required
• Generate invoices and follow up on debt collection if required
• Preparation of journals, accrual and provisions
• Upload all journals to SmartStream
• Review GL for accuracy at month end
• Compile monthly variance stats between actuals and budget to all hub resolved
• Perform general administration such as Compile KM travel and Subsistence schedule for payroll input
• Ensure relevant contracts /SLA/rates are in place
• Copying, Filling, arrange files to Metrofile: Archiving and keeping recorded sequences of boxes

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in similar role in Logistics environment is essential
• Must have experience with Finance including creditors, debtors and general ledger
• Excel Intermediate level
• Creditor’s experience of 60 to 80 creditors with  minimum value of 6million
• Experience with GL codes, Journal etc
• Knowledge of balance sheet and Income Statements
