SUMMARY:
FINANCE ADMIN INTERN URGENTLY NEEDED- TEMPORARY

POSITION INFO:

Under supervision of the accounting staff, the Intern, will assist and shadow members of the finance team, with all accounting activities as instructed, and be a motivated team player, who can maintain efficiency and accuracy, whilst multiskilling.

Assist with filing, data entry and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.

2. Check, verify and process invoices (creditors) ensuring payments are processed according to company standards.

3. Printing and mailing of statements.

4. Process of credit/garage cards, attaching supporting slips & reconciliation of statements.

5. To assist and prepare all relevant documentation for external auditors.

6. Petty Cash payments and reconciliation.

7. Collating and reconciling leave forms.

8. Handling of sensitive or confidential information aligned to the POPI Act and with honestly and integrity.

9. To liaise with staff regards their office stationery requirements and place orders for same – ensuring stock is always available to hand.

10. Assist with arrangements for functions and/or training sessions, as required.

11. All other ad-hoc duties – taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.

12. Working with bookkeeping software – SAP – data capture – creditors/debtors payments.

TEMPORARY – Fixed Term Contract – 6 months – with option to renew.

Full time – 5 day week – 8 hours per day – 30 minutes for lunch.

Adherence to BCEA & all Company Policies & Covid Protocols

Qualification Required

Junior with matric and previous experience in Accounting practices.

Aptitude for math, and proficiency with computers & accounting software.

High level of efficiency, accuracy, responsibility, reliability and commitment.

Motivated to take on new challenges and learn quickly.

Reliable and good time keeping practices.

Be a recent graduate in BCom Accounting

REQUIRED SKILLS

Computer Literacy: Word, Excel, SAP, or accounting package

Must have strong verbal and written communication
