POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Qualified Millwright / Fitter or a related tertiary qualification is essential.
• Min 7 Years’ experience within the mining capital plant equipment industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be capable of compiling quotations.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Initial workload will be spread between South Africa and Namibia with one week in Swakopmund and 3 weeks in South Africa.
• Namibian Citizen preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Business development targeting existing clients.
• Refurbishing and servicing all types of mining and mineral equipment, crushers, separators, vibrators, mills, feeders and related mining equipment.
• Assembling new crushers and preparing test beds to test run.
• Completing test certificates and QCP documentation.
• Assisting engineering personnel with the final commissioning of new equipment.
• Visiting customers when required to do so.
• Handling all troubleshooting and fault-finding activities on equipment.
• Compiling reports on findings and providing recommendations.
• Assisting with quotations to customers.
• Compiling spare requirements to complete repairs.
• Assisting the Planner to plan tasks.
• Supervising execution of planned tasks.
• Completing time-sheets and submitting them to management.
• Ensuring that workshop equipment and housekeeping is maintained.
• Conducting safety talks and training subordinates.
• Conducting safety inspections as per NOSA requirements.
