Field Service Technician South Africa

Our Client specialising in the manufacturing and selling of Woven Plastic Sack and Injection Moulding Machines is looking for a Field Service Technician / Field Service Engineer from South Africa to do new installations, commissioning of new machines on client’s premises and servicing, maintenance and repairs. You must have experience of new installation / commissioning of new machines which are sold to clients to manufacture. You need to understand the weight of machine ration to surfaces (if the cement is strong enough to hold the machines weight)

You will work in South Africa and its neighbouring countries like Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Madagascar and so on, its not further than Zambia. MUST BE ABLE to travel extensively – in South Africa and Southern African Counties.

You need experience from the plastic moulding, packaging, or injection moulding industry. Experience from the woven fabric industry would be advantage. You can be from any major city in South Africa.

Very Competitive Salary plus subsistence allowance and others

Min Requirements

• Candidate should have Diploma in Electrical and  OR Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years plus experience in Raffia (woven Fabric), plastic, bottling machines, injection moulding machines or plastic packaging industry.
• The incumbent should have good communication & Computer skills.
• Willing to travel extensively.
• Good language ability – Local language and working knowledge of English.

Job Description:

• New Installations of machines
• New Erection & Commissioning of Machines on and at client’s sites
• Field Service experience
• Service, repair, and maintenance of these machines sold to clients.
• Knowledge of BCS, exposure to troubleshooting of woven sacks. tapelines & looms (An Added advantage).
• Should have basic electrical, electronics & mechanical skills for installations.
• Processing knowledge on Tapeline & Looms would be considered an added advantage.
