Field Service Technician

SUMMARY:
Field service on plants and factories repairing compressors, generators and air dryers.

POSITION INFO:

Qualified (Red Seal – Section 13)
• Experience past completion of trade test as an Electrician or Auto Electrician will be in your advantage.
• Experience in the mining industry will be in your advantage.
• Experience on maintenance and repairing of refrigerant air dryers will be in your advantage.
• Experience in compressors & overhauling of compressor elements will be in your advantage.
• Experience on Diesel machinery and equipment will be in your advantage.
• Experience in PLC''s.
• Valid code EB driver’s licence and own transport.
• Computer literate in MS Office and other related software.
• Able to identify / read parts manuals & electrical wiring diagrams.
• No criminal records.
• Must be medically fit to work in the mining and related industry.
• Must have own hand tools. (We can assist to purchase your own)
• Overtime, when required on Standby and call-outs.
• Trustworthy and able to work without supervision.

Follow detailed maintenance program on machinery and equipment. (Air compressors, Light Towers, Air Dryers and Generators)
• Full spectrum of maintenance tasks
(mechanical, electrical, air dryer, cleaning, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, instrumentation).
• Identify and trouble shoot crucial maintenance related problems and address these.
• Administration duties.
