Field Service Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Field Service Engineer – Isando

Main responsibilities: Field Service Repairs to CNCs, Lasers, Wire EDMs and Robots at customer premises across South Africa.

Job purpose (including but not limited to):

• Perform Preventative Maintenance Services
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers
• Grow existing business through the identification of opportunities at existing customers through understanding of new applications with new technologies available
• Local and international travel may be required from time to time

Regular measurements will be conducted and will be based on:

Monthly budget – the budget is set out by the Service Manager together with management and the overseas head office.    Performance against this budget will be measured, depending on actual market conditions

Minimum requirements :

• National Diploma– Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics (S4 + 1 year practical

OR

• BDegree- Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronic Engineering

OR

• Qualified Electrician / Millwright with at least N6 Electrical / Electronic Engineering Certificate from a recognised technical college
• Experience with CNC machines (electrical / electronic / mechanical)
• Knowledge of CNC machines and automated robotic arms will be beneficial
• PLC / Ladder experience (Read and understand)
• Knowledge of general factory automation
• Troubleshooting experience
• Computer literate
• Ability to use various electronic measuring instruments (Digital Multimeter, Insulation Resistance Meter)
• Valid Passport | SA Driver’s Licence
