SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Spares Manager, an exciting opportunity where you will be required to regularly contact existing and potential customers. Provide advice and assistance on the acquisition of parts and components for mixing equipment. Min. 3 years' sales experience and a reliable vehicle is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collect spares orders from suppliers as and when required.
Deliver spares orders to customer sites as and when required.
Obtain existing customer details from contract files. Update any staff changes.
Develop and maintain a computerised database of customer telephone numbers and addresses (company shared).
Contact relevant engineers, foremen or buyers on site.
Set up site appointments with these relevant engineers, foremen and buyers.
Conduct surveys of the agitators on each plant. This involves obtaining nameplate information, observing operating condition, gauging mixing performance, etc.
Advise the customer on site as to what spares solutions are available and within what time frame.
Provide technical data obtained from site visits to the spares manager and to the design engineers. This is in order to facilitate the quoting procedure.
Follow up on site visits in order to expedite customer purchase orders.
Conduct courtesy visits to customers and issue marketing materials e.g. Calendars, requests for e-profiles.
Maintain a computerised daily log of all visits made to customers, including a brief description of what occurred.
Pass on any information obtained on potential new customers to the spares manager.
Comply with site contractor requirements when inspecting and measuring mixers for commissioning including Confined Space Entry Requirements.
Assist with the commissioning of agitators on site as and when required.
Go to site for problem-solving and investigate warranty claims.
Travel to clients in South Africa and abroad.
Maintain company vehicle.
Hand over expenses to Spares manager for site visits to sign off on.
Assist spares department with quotations and processing of orders when needed.
Log and investigate customer complaints.
