POSITION INFO:
Field Guide Trainer | Marakele National Park | Field Guide College
We are looking for an experienced FIELD GUIDE TRAINER to help educate aspirant Field Guides. The college is located in Marataba, in a beautiful Marekele National Park in Limpopo, only 3.5 hour drive from Johannesburg.
The Field Guide Trainer is responsible for executing the training activities of the College within the framework of the approved curriculum.
Key Focus Areas for Field Guide Trainer:
- Conduct learning on game drive and trails
- Be creative with regards to training content and delivery
- Facilitate activities in the field via game drives, walks, field observations
- Facilitating and assisting with training sessions
- Offer guidance and support to students

Requirements – Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- FGASA Professional Field Guide Current (Essential)
- Previous experience as Senior Guide or Head Guide (Advantageous)
- Min 5 Years Guiding Experience (Essential)
- Professional Trails Guide (Essential)
- Rifle Proficiency Current (Essential)
- Drivers Licence & PrDP Current (Essential)
- ARH Current (Essential)
- First Aid Level 2
- Prior Experience in training and facilitation
- Qualified Facilitator/FGASA Assessor (Advantageous)
- Range Officer (Advantageous)
Start: July 2021
Salary package will be discussed during the interviews. It is live-in position.
