JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Design
At least 3+ years' experience in design within the retail industry
Excellent managerial, organization and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
Have the ability to navigate and lead through change
Past experience in business/design with solid understanding of details and trims
Computer proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel,& Word
Solid understanding of Fit, fabrics, finishes and construction is a plus
Know-how of draping a mannequin
Flexible mentality, able to adjust quickly
Knowledge of various types of fabrics, you will be working with all textile mediums
Knowledge on global trend-leading street / casual-wear brands
Knowledge of using WGSN
Manage multiple seasons at different stages of development, while understanding the development calendar
Manage print development process and needs in partnership with CAD
Creates line presentation boards for use at concept and development review
Prepares and presents seasonal product reviews to product developers/ senior management
Coordinate visual boards and samples to drive newness for the brand
Work closely with cross functional teams to compliment and coordinate process, procedures, and development needs/packages
Attends all fits with technical design for styling and aesthetic comments/input
Review styles with product developers to understand design intention prior to initiating tech pack
Set up detailed tech packs
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, organised be able to work independently within a fast-paced creative team environment and have a good understanding of the brand’s aesthetic
Excellent communication skills with an organised and structured approach
High work ethic, good time management skills
Work to deadlines
Attention to detail & be organised
