SUMMARY:
Our client based in Zimbabwe is seeking to employ an energetic, experienced Farm Manager to assist in the development and growth of the farm to a highly commercial level. Candidate Must hold a Zimbabwean Passport and must have Macadamia & Avocado Farming experience.

POSITION INFO:
Commercially astute GM with expertise and knowledge across all aspects of macadamia and avocado production. Skilled in initial planning business set up to include financial control and marketing. We require a green fingered farmer who uses his feet and likes to spend time in the field.

DUTIES:

Land clearance and planting of new trees
Crop management (spraying regimes, fertilizers, watering schedules, pruning, harvesting for export)
Staff objective setting and performance monitoring project management. Recruitment of staff and training
Project management to include construction as we develop our processing facilities
Financial controls and budgeting
International Global Good Agricultural practices (Global Gap) and marketing management
Irrigation expertise
Composting expertise
Knowledge or interest in bee keeping would be useful as we have a large bee project for pollination
Tree nursery experience not vital but would be good as we have a nursery
Technical proficiency in Microsoft office, pastel, payroll and other administrative processes
Machinery/vehicle maintenance
Languages that would be helpful are English and Shona

SALARY:

The salary will be paid in USD. The salary will reflect the experience of the candidate and will be a basic salary with a clearly defined annual performance bonus
