Our client in the Agriculture/FMCG sector seeks to employ a Farm Manager with Citrus experience, to be based at their operations in Kirkwood.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Fertilizer program, application, stocks and timing
  • Chemical program, application, stock and timing
  • Yield estimates
  • Fruit harvest - Timing, staff and equipment
  • Irrigation - Moisture control, scheduling, ordering of water and maintenance of equipment
  • Health and Safety
  • Pruning plan and execution
  • Budgets
  • General farm operations, herbicide, bush cutting, road maintenance
  • Head count
  • All equipment and collaboration with maintenance department
Requirements:
  • Agricultural degree / diploma is highly advantageous but not a requirement
  • 5 + years’ experience in a supervisory position on farm
  • Citrus farming experience (lemons, oranges etc) – this is non-negotiable
  • Computer literate
  • Must be willing to live in Addo
