POSITION INFO:

Our client is a public entity based in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, and they require the services of the Facilities Supervisor on a 6 Months Fixed Term Contract.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence duties immediately.

This is a brokerage arrangement and the employee will remain in the books of the agency.

Job Purpose:

To ensure effective planning, management, health & safety and monitoring of all aspects related to the Building premises and Records management of the Company

Responsibilities:

• Planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises using best practice
• Develop, implement and maintain relevant policies and procedures for Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Effective use of the budget by:  Ensuring financial discipline in the sub-Division’s budgeting & expenditure and Ensuring programmes are executed within budget
• To co-ordinate and manage all Document and Records Management Services by  ensuring that the document and records management practices of this office comply with the requirements of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act, 1996 as amended;
• Ensure that all contracts and agreements are kept in safe custody for ease of reference

Job requirements

• Built environment diploma (NQF 5) / Facilities management Diploma
• Project Management / Records Management qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management
• Knowledge of Knowledge of the OHS Act and COID Act (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases)
• Working knowledge of the PFMA / PPPFA
• Report writing and must be computer literate.

Remuneration

R20 000 per month total cost to company
