Facilities Manager: Industrial Engineer

SUMMARY:
Looking for a maintenance facility manager with solid industry experience in the pharmaceutical/medical and or food industry.

POSITION INFO:

• Ensure all Factory Operations, Maintenance and related activities within the Facility are conducted as per the requirements from the EU GMP guidelines to ensure manufacturing protocols are maintained
• Manage all external service suppliers i.e. security, cleaning, waste, HVAC etc. in order that interruptions to production is minimised
• Manage and Negotiate terms with service providers
• Support manufacturing site by ensuring all necessary materials are available for production lines
• Proactive management of all maintenance for the Facility including monitoring of conditions within the facility according to requirements
• Carry out regular inspections to determine effectiveness of service provider activities, identify concerns and escalate with expediency
• Ensure Security levels are maintained at all times, through the Service provider
• Monitor, proactively, threats to the facility and manage the correct course of action to circumvent these
• Liaise with access control and CCTV service provider to resolve queries and ensure service operation
• Ensure effective rostering of Facility personnel including that of Service providers
• Ensure service providers follow EHS policies and procedures of the company and site inductions
• Perform monthly checks and inspections as required by ISO and/or GMP policies and procedures
• Ensure that the Factory is in an all-time state of compliance readiness for any regulatory and/or third-party audit and according to the requirements from the Quality division
• Institute, measure, monitor, analyse and act upon Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) Data
• Institute Continuous Improvement culture and methodology as part of process re-engineering and re-design
• Benchmarking against established best practises and implementation thereof
• Adherence of employees under the Facilities Manager leadership to Quality Management Systems
• Ensure Deviations are logged and closed within the Standard Operating Procedure timelines
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Facilities related matters
• Ensure that Corrective and Preventative measures are implemented within stipulated timelines
• Ensure that staff are compliant to Training and Regulatory requirements
• Ensures compliance to equipment Planned Preventative Maintenance, Calibrations and Validations with Engineering department
• Effective Performance management through Key Performance Indicators and Objective Setting
• Generation of Site and Departmental periodic reports and presentations
• Review and compliance to monthly Factory OPEX, and maintenance of cost-effective operations
• Recommendations, Planning and execution on CAPEX spend for the Factory
• Develop and implement short, medium and long-term goals and strategies for production optimization
