SUMMARY:
The Financial Manager / Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records, effective cash flow management, and professional financial interaction with clients and suppliers. This role requires a confident, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable engaging with stakeholders and maintaining strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Financial & Accounting Functions
- Full banking function, including daily cash handling and bank reconciliations
- Creditors management, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Receiving and allocating payments to customer accounts
- Preparation and processing of quotations and invoicing on Pastel
- Performing accurate financial reconciliations
- Maintaining high levels of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Systems & Tools
- Daily use of Pastel, SAGE, and Ariba
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity across financial systems
- Supporting financial reporting and record-keeping as required
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Confidently liaising with clients and suppliers regarding accounts and payments
- Professionally resolving queries and following up on outstanding matters
- Supporting the General Manager with financial insights and updates
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- B.Com degree (preferred), however strong relevant experience will be considered in place of formal qualification
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting or financial role
- Industry background open (experience across any sector considered)
Technical Skills
- Proven experience using Pastel (essential)
- Exposure to SAGE and Ariba (advantageous)
- Strong reconciliation and bookkeeping capability
