FITTER & TURNER (Packaging / Tannery) – North of Pretoria

From R 25 000 PM Highly Negotiable + Benefits + Shift Allowance

Manufacturing Company North of Pretoria is looking for Fitter & Turner. Ideally must come from the Packaging / Tannery industry. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 + N6, Fitter & Turner Trade Test
• Minimum of 5 years'' post apprenticeship experience.
• Previous experience working in a packaging or tannery manufacturing concern
• Basic health and safety requirements
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook (advantageous))
• Work under pressure.
• 3 shift system and 5 day week

Duties

• Fit, machine and repair equipment related to the packaging industry
• Centrifugal pump stripping, repair and replacement including bearing and seal replacement + machining of shafts and sleeves
• Knowledge of general maintenance and repairs with specific knowledge in drying, buffing and stacking machinery (Hydraulic Pipe) (Pneumatic Stamping Machine)
• Gearbox stripping, Roll repair and replacement
• Multi-stage pump stripping, repair and replacement
• Replace motor and gearbox of drums
• Repair door motor, sealing and chains
• Replace valves for water and air
• Replace bearings and rollers
• Replace v Belts
• Replace wheels on frames
• Welding broken structure
• Replace thermocouple and temperature controller
• Replace conveyor belts and bearings

VALID DRIVER’S LICENCE WITH OWN TRANSPORT
