POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced FINANCIAL CONTROLLER for a well-established company based in the Kloof area, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.       

BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance / Diploma in Financial Accounting from an accredited learning institute will be considered based on experience.

Completed SAIPA articles (an advantage but not essential).

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Excel, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Experienced in cloud-based accounting packages including but not limited to Xero and Dext.

2 - 3 years previous bookkeeping experience is essential.

Daily processing of accounting transactions into Back Office software systems for multiple entities, as per documented procedures and protocols.

Preparation, reconciliation, and review of General Ledger accounts.

Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

Continuous improvement of financial policies and practices.

Liaising with clients, following up on queries and maintaining good client relationships.

On boarding of new clients as per the documented company procedures and protocols.

Ensuring all information is received for the preparation and finalisation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Assisting Financial Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts and related reporting.

Ensure timely submission of reports to the Financial Manager.

Accurate financial recording as prescribed by good accounting practices.

Accurate preparation of administrative documents and reports. 

All other related bookkeeping, administrative and Back Office functions.

Adhoc duties as and when required by the Financial Manager.

Oversee functions in the Financial Manager’s absence.
