FINANCIAL CLERK

SUMMARY:

Our client based in Parow Industria, is a highly respected employer in the agri industry.  They have a vacancy for a FINANCIAL CLERK. The financial clerk reports to the divisional accountant and is an integral part of the business. 

This is a temporary position starting 1 September 2021. 

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check emails for Western Cape orders and liason with agents for orders for the rest of the country.
• Withdraw retail orders from the EDI system.
• Invoicing trucks at the Parow plant. 
• Invoicing agents. 
• Reconcile orders with invoices and POD''s. 
• Responsible for daily sales figures.
• Responsible for bank reconciliations and management of cash sales / petty cash. 

• Minimum 2 years’ comparable experience.
• Experience in an administrative function within a logistics and/ or sales related environment is essential. 
• Computer literacy: in particular with Xero, Excel, DEAR.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines 
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
• Excellent spoken and written command of English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Understand basic booking principles.
• Effective time management skills.
