The position reports to the Financial Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop, adapt and implement new processes and procedures as well as the maintenance thereof, to integrate the marketplace business unit into new/existing ERP system.
• Work closely with Product and Development teams to align business requirements
• Ownership of the finance project and ensuring predefined outcomes are met
• Own the daily transactional processing of all transactions, end to end
• Implement, controls and measurements to mitigate financial risk within a hyper-growth environment
• Continuous implementation of automated processes to scale with business needs
• Work closing with internal and external stakeholders, to align on single processes and procedures relating to the business unit
• Managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial aspects of the seller onboarding and maintenance process, including continuing development of the process at scale
• Full ownership of the payment cycle to ensure complete and accurate payments processing of Marketplace sellers
• Resolving non-routine seller queries
• Preparation and reporting of business unit KPI
• Quality review of monthly seller reconciliations, including management and control aging
• Month-end procedures and reporting (income statement + balance sheet + operational reporting)
• Additional ad hoc duties, as required within the business
• Work with operations- and compliance departments to manage finance-related risk.
• Work closely with internal business stakeholders, including Retail, Marketplace, Supply Chain, Logistics and Engineering
• Ad-hoc requests from CFO and Finance Managers

Qualifications:

• Relevant B.com degree- Honours would be advantageous
• SAICA / SAIPA articles - advantage
• 3 – 5 Years relevant experience in a similar finance role
• Industry Exposure - Retail / FMCG / Franchise industries
• Proven experience in implementing systems/processes to mitigate financial risk
• High proficiency in advanced Excel
• MySQL/Looker/Qliksense experience advantageous
