SUMMARY:
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT for a well-established, growing concern – position based in Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant tertiary qualification/s.

Completed articles an advantage or similar professional qualification.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Previous working experience on CaseWare package and other accounting packages.

Preparation of annual financial statements using CaseWare.

Resolve audit queries.

Daily, weekly and monthly processing of accounting entries.

Compiling monthly financial reports.

Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Assisting with annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting.

Prepare, examine or analyse accounting records / financial statements.

Management of general ledger, cashbook, creditors and debtors.

Review loan schedules including interest calculations and balance confirmations.

Responsible for inter-group confirmations.

Computation of normal tax and completion of monthly VAT reconciliations.

Implement and maintain internal controls.

Full debtors and creditors reporting.

Managing four direct reports.
