A hospitality establishment in Graskop, Mpumalanga, is seeking an experienced and hands-on FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER to join their team
POSITION INFO:
This is an operational, guest-facing role for a driven hospitality professional who leads from the front and takes genuine pride in delivering consistently high food and beverage standards. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing all aspects of the F&B operation, from daily service oversight to staff development and cost control, in a live-in environment.
Core Criteria:
- Proven experience in an F&B Manager or senior F&B leadership role within a lodge, hotel, or hospitality establishment
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards across all meal periods
- Solid understanding of stock control, procurement, supplier management, and food cost control
- Sound knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens, and guest preferences
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a team
- Good understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene compliance
- Excellent communication and guest relations skills
- Hands-on management style with a willingness to work service periods alongside the team
- Comfortable living and working in a remote environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all daily F&B operations to a consistently high standard across all meal periods
- Ensure consistent food quality, beverage service, and guest dining experiences at all times
- Manage procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships while maintaining food and beverage cost controls
- Actively engage with guests during service to ensure satisfaction and a personalised experience
- Lead, train, mentor, and develop F&B staff to perform at their best
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards throughout all F&B areas
- Monitor and manage dietary requirements, allergens, and individual guest preferences
- Work hands-on alongside the team during all service periods
- Contribute to menu and beverage list development
- Maintain open and effective communication across all departments
