POSITION INFO:

External Sales Representative - Technically orientated with understanding of steel/roofing, Marketing and sales capabilities and training, Working knowledge on CRM

The purpose of the Sales Consultant is to research potential markets with the view of building relationships in well qualified target markets and reaching pre-determined revenue targets in the designated markets to ensure the continued progression of the organization.
The Sales Rep will  develop and support the growth in the surrounding areas and nationally.

Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• To generate new sales through prospecting and researching to generate leads, converting those
leads into viable opportunities.
• To achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets which are measured quarterly.
• Following the sales funnel process to ensure a high probability of success.
• Have the ability to write and formulate fit for purpose proposals to designated target market.
• Understanding buying signs with the purpose of accurately forecasting within a quarterly time
frame.

New Business Development
• Daily prospecting for new business across all target markets.
• Develop and maintain a company presence in the marketplace.
• Provide prospective clients insight into the unique offerings of SBS.
• Ongoing assessments of new business opportunities.
• Manage service offerings, pricing, and margins within agreed parameters.
• Develop and implement strategies to penetrate identified clients and target markets

Client Relationships
• Build and maintain effective relationships with potential clients
• Ensuring CRM system is updated daily with new leads, opportunities, pipeline entries and conversions
• Resolving client enquiries quickly and effectively.
• Coordinate site visits, technical support and factory tours educating clients on unique offerings

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Marketing degree/diploma or similar  This will be a D Band position 
• Driver’s License
• 5-10 years sales experience
• Proven track record in previous role
• Construction/steel/roofing industry background. (preferred)
• Project management background

• • Industry experience is a must, if not in roofing then in some sort of construction/ manufacturing environment where long lead times are a norm, as well as having experience in working on projects that can take a few months to close
  • Some one driven and dynamic, who can handle high pressure environments
  • Technically minded with a strong problem solving ability
  • Ability to delegate
  • Thick skinned/ resilient
  • Strong sales ability with proven track record against sales targets
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Very hands on
  • Good ability to build rapport/ trust with his team and clients
  • Proven ability to reach sales targets of +/- R3.5 mil per month
  • Truss Industry, steel or mining.
  • Construction/ Project sales Industry
  • Preferably no order takers
  • No job hoppers!!!!!!!  A minimum of 3 to 5 years at each company

   

5 - 10 years functional experience required.

Stable background

Proven track record.
