JOB DESCRIPTION:

External Sales Representative (POS289)

Robertsham – Johannesburg South

R 15 000 to R 18 000 plus commission plus fuel & cell allowance

Job Purpose:

External Sales Representative required to be responsible for both managing current client base and expanding customer portfolio. Customer focus area is Johannesburg North and its surrounding areas. Ideal candidate will be from the automotive industry.

Requirements

Grade 12 or higher
Minimum of 5 years’ external sales experience
Automotive or related industry an advantage
Fully Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
Drivers’ license with own vehicle

Responsibilities:

Calling on Existing Customers

• Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers

• Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily

• Build and maintain relationships with Existing customers

• Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts

• Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally

Finding and calling on New Customers

• Identifying and researching new customers in the allocated area.

• Making contact and establishing a relationship and overseeing the initial quotation of prices to new customers

• Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory

• Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer''''s specific needs

• Work closely with marketing department to help build the brand

Procedures

• Attend monthly customer review meeting with Sales & Marketing manager

• Attend weekly marketing meetings

• Do follow- ups on all large enquiries from allocated customers.
