External Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
Industrial automation and connectivity company based in JHB is seeking an External Sales Representative with a proven track record in industrial automation (4 years experience). This individual must have a sound understanding of Industrial Automation-PLC, HMI/SCADA, Servo, Encoders, Serial Connectivity, AC Drives, AC Motors. IP surveillance and Remote Automation.
Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechanical diploma and/or degree will be an advantage.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 4 Years external sales experience in an industrial automation.
• Sound understanding of: Industrial Automation-PLC, HMI/SCADA, Servo, Encoders, Serial Connectivity. AC Drives, uses thereof and application, AC Motors, IP surveillance and Remote Automation.
• Qualification Level advantage: Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical diploma and/or degree.
• Must be willing and able to travel periodically based on customer and business needs.
• Computer/Industrial Networking background.
• Confident and eloquent and well-spoken on the telephone.
• Detail-orientated and works with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Positive attitude and highly motivated.
• Excellent computer, typing, MS Office skills (Good presentation skills).
• Reliable car and valid driver’s license.

• Water/Wastewater Sector -Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga, Northwest, Limpopo.
• Cold calling.
• Research on new customers, analyse market needs and develop account strategies.
• Liaising with customers on a daily basis.
• Continuous Business development.
• Following up on quotes on a weekly basis.
• Data Capturing and updating existing customer database.
• Data Capturing into a CRM system and/or using the CRM Phone app.
• Processing Orders and Invoicing.
• Reach achievable sales targets and growing sales.
• Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss customer status.
• Achieve weekly meeting target and KPI’s.
• Attend tender meetings.
• Stock take and arranging for a parcel collection.
