SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader in their field, currently has a fixed term contract for a suitably qualified Exports Administrator. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective export and logistics services between the Johannesburg Distribution Centre and the African Operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

Degree - B.Com, Engineering or B.Sc.
3 years Procurement / Purchasing / Supply Chain Management experience.
Relevant Customs knowledge including Cross border, and up to date with relevant legislation.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Sound computer skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office packages.

The Job:

Optimise the logistics operations of the local Procurement Office.
Optimise consignment building (packing lists, vehicle utilisation, cross border freight recoveries, etc.)
Arrange and schedule collection of orders.
Ensure application of export permits where required.
Ensure compliance with Import country requirements.
Ensure adherence to export regulations and legislations, including VAT.
Optimising the transit times between the Distribution Centre and African Operations.
Provide full track and trace service.
Ensure all documentation is SARS compliant and meets transit border requirements to enable destination country clearance and expropriation of funds (payments from operations).
Optimise the services of transport service providers and border clearing agents.
Generate accurate online PR’s for outsourced services (Freight and Clearances) and follow up on order to gain approvals.
Attend regular Operational meetings with customers
Ensure on-time delivery to Sites in Africa.
Ensure that all safety, health and environmental precautions and procedures are always adhered to.
