SUMMARY:
Export / Import Controller controlling the movement of the company's products / components / raw material out of and into the country.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification

Matric
Formal Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance

Requirements

5 Years'' experience in supply chain (exports and imports - road, ocean and air freight)
Administration experience in distribution, warehousing, SARS, customs, accounts and sales
Computer literate and very strong on Excel and Syspro
Electronic export documentation experience
Good judgement, organizational and communication skills

Duties

Plan and implement export activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization
Communicate with export customers, sales agents, export staff and freight forwarders to ensure understanding of requirements and provide feedback and information as required.
Liaise with other departments within the company in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export activities and support in relation to export sales, stock availability, production planning, purchasing of non-stock materials for export and overall operating functions.
Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in export activity and procedures.
Manage/Liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon import activities.
Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, e.g. shipping schedules, commercial invoices, packing slips, routing and transport documentation.
Manage the necessary export documentation and forms with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with SARS/SARB compliancy.
