Export Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in the shipping service industry has an opportunity available for an Export Controller, to be based in the Germiston area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12
• Must have export (air, sea and road) freight experience currently
• Must be working on Cargowise currently

Duties:

• Sea Freight:
• Communicate with clients, shipping lines, transporters and overseas Agents
• Export’s sea freight requirements
• Negotiate rates with shipping line, transporters
• Make bookings for sea exports
• Air Freight:
• Arrange bookings and forward on booking confirmations
• Cargo to be delivered to airline on time before cut off
• Tracking details to be obtained & forward to client until destination
• Road Freight:
• Communicate with clients, transporters and to be involved with over border customs
• Road freight border requirements, e.g. form CA1 & CA2
• Understanding road bonded cargo / Acquittals
• Arranging road transport for shipments
