SUMMARY:
Our client in the Security Industry, is seeking an Experienced Production and Admin Assistant, to join their team in Durban, Upper Highway area - KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Email Subject: Experienced Production & Admin Assistant. 
  • At least 2-3 years’ vast experience working within manufacturing of work wear / PPE and knowledge of materials and trims (Or in the production department of a busy clothing manufacturing company) – COMPULSARY – NO EXEPTIONS WOULD BE MADE.
  • Purchasing experience using Pastel.
  • Senior Certificate.
  • Detailed up to date CV. 
  • Separately from the CV attached all relevant documents. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
  • Must read / write & speak English. 
  • Must be a level-headed individual that has excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Must be energetic and have a positive and mature attitude and outlook.
  • Must be computer literate (Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel and Pastel experience compulsory).
  • Must be able to use own initiative. 
  • Must be able to work as a team.
  • Well-presented appearance (Clean and neat).

EXPERIENCE: 
  • The individual we are looking to employ must meet the minimum requirements and under no circumstances will exceptions be made.
  • Experience with working within manufacturing of work wear / PPE and knowledge of materials and trims – THIS IS COMPULSARY & NO EXEPTIONS WOULD BE MADE.
  • Project management and planning of orders.
  • Experience with Purchasing using Pastel and stock control using excel/inventory system.
  • Overseeing and managing all orders timeously.
  • Overseeing of raw materials and finished goods at all times.
  • Knowledge of trims and all components relating to clothing.
  • Overseeing Stock Control (including Goods received & returned).
  • Overseeing Dispatch. 
  • Ensure ISO standards are maintained.
  • Assisting with Tenders by sourcing material.
  • Embroidery reports.
  • Assist admin staff, customers and especially the production team.

  • This position requires someone who is extremely organised, used his/her initiative, excellent computer skills for reporting and good communication skills. 
  • The person in this role must be hands on and possess brilliant analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
