SUMMARY:
An Expeditor is responsible for determining all of the different methods for transporting goods. A few of the main duties of an expeditor are tracking an order, handling delivery delays, coordinating with the warehouse manager, and ensuring all orders have been shipped out. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Expeditor Responsibilities:

Assist with growing professional relationships with different internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Facilitate flow of materials between various departments.
Collaborate with project management to prepare for project review meetings.
Receive shipments of materials and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quantities, quality, and specifications.
Examine job cost reports for inconsistencies.
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of warehouse.
Follow established guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures.
Meet and collaborate with management to assess reliability of suppliers and vendors, and to identify solutions for ongoing problems.
Perform clerical duties and maintaining accurate records and files of activities.

Expeditor Requirements:

Relevant qualifications.
Have 3+ years of work experience in a similar role.
Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient people skills.
Have experience in demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
Have the ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
