Executive: System Services Support

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an Executive: System Services Support to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Core Description:

To oversee and direct support for core infrastructure, to transform IT and realise the digitalisation journey for our clients. To lead the facilitation of operations and be accountable for IT service assurance and continuity management

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions:

• Contribute towards the development of the Infrastructure & Cloud Services strategy and define the System Services Support strategy and roadmap to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy to achieve business objectives.
• Instrumental in guiding on client technical roadmaps, and technical choice to meet solution price point, and commercial aspects on client proposals.
• Lead the monitoring and maintenance of System Services Support in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
• Develop and manage the implementation of processes and procedures to maintain or recover the delivery of systems and services in the event of any physical, technical or environmental disaster or major outage, providing continuity of service to customer.
• Manage and/or oversee multiple, large-scale, concurrent projects to successful completion in accordance with scope, budget and service level agreements.
• Manage the identification and mitigation of both operational and strategic risks
• Manage the annual budget and forecasts within strategic guidelines, directing and coordinating activities to achieve revenue and cost containment targets.
• Collaborate and facilitate optimum engagement between and within the client’s Divisions at an Executive level and establish and enhance relationships and network with strategic partners, customers (at C Level) and vendors in support of market dominance. Resource must take total accountability for service deliverance, building sustainable support models.
• Lead and promote a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement, innovation and transformation.
• Position is accountable for one of the key Big bet deliverables, and is the major contributor to revenue within ICS
• Accountable for the operational input into Product Development, linked to the strategic initiative of the BU
• Accountable for client technical proposal reviews, and the mapping of associated build and support activities – while driving revenue growth in line with BU expectation.

Experience:

• 7 to 9 years’ experience in managed services on Cloud and/or Iaas, within a large and highly complex organisation, of which 7 years is at a senior management level.

Qualifications:

• 3 years degree (NQF 6) in Business or IT related
• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with relevant IT certification with 15 years of experience and least 7 years on Snr management

Special Requirements:

• Required to travel locally and internationally, if the need arises
• Valid Passport, Valid Drivers License
