Events and Operations Manager

POSITION INFO:

Working as an Event and Operations Manager, you will be based in our Cape Town branch and have an opportunity to showcase your skills at being versatile and taking responsibility for a range of infrastructure builds and events, focusing on team management, organising, planning, and executing.

As an Events and Operations Manager, you will be required to represent the brand at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Help support and grow the company, as well as to generate new leads
• Attend to all enquiries ensuring that quotes are done and sent timeously
• Working on systems and processes, maximizing operational efficiency
• Assist with adhoc administrative requirements
• Manage a team of people through strict compliance of and implementation of company policies and onboarding procedures
• Create strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value is achieved through negotiating
• Strive to create great customer relationships through timeous engagement and exceeding expectation through excellent service delivery
• Willing to attend, participate and represent the company at Industry and/or Association events
• Oversee industry requirements (event permits, medical, COC’s etc.) when required
• Drive continual service improvement, event growth and best practices across all events
• Remain an exemplary representative to other team members to reflect company service, standards and procedures
• Ensuring all event content and quotes are brand-aligned and meet guidelines
• Ability to actively source new clients and events to boost revenue for the company
• Ensuring that the overall experience is positive, exceeds expectations
• Collate customer feedback identifying areas for improvement through post-event follow ups

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience as an event and/or project manager or similar role
• Corporate / B2B events experience advantageous
• Experience in Marquee industry advantageous
• Must demonstrate knowledge of managing costs within a budget
• Must have advanced literacy and numeric skills required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be computer literate – Microsoft efficient
• Support and help drive our social media platform(s)
• Portfolio of successful events along with leads of potential clients
• Must have own vehicle and driver’s license
