SUMMARY:
Leading motor manufacturing company based on the East Rand looking for an Estimator to join their team in January 2023

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate must have/be:

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 12 minimum
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous

Relevant Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an estimator in a motor manufacturing industry with knowledge of trailers/parts

Essential Requirements:

Own transport in order to do site visits
Well spoken in Afrikaans and English

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Disciplined, target driven
Manage time well and multitask with ability to work under pressure
Willing to work overtime
Attention to detail
Presentable
Ability to work well in a team

Duties:

Must be able to do quotations, estimates and costings
Distribute/generate estimates based on the defined scope of work
Interpret schematics, drawings and bill of materials
Contact customer to define/clarify the necessary scope of work as required
Request quotes as required
Ensure all incoming customer purchase orders are captured
Work closely with various department managers/supervisors on updating projects for customer requirements
Communicate with the internal customer regularly, reporting progress of all jobs in order to keep them properly informed
Work according to the Repair and Order Management processes
Ensure work scopes are executed in line with committed dates and that orders are billed on a timely manner
Comply with all Company policies and procedures established by the Quality Management System, HSE, as well as all other Corporate guidelines
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

Computer literacy:

MS Office with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required
Accumatica experience
