POSITION INFO:

Estimator – Civils

Salary R30 000CTC, negotiable

• Prepare thorough and complete cost estimates for enquiries / contracts.
• Review tender documents and project specifications in detail.
• Prepare tenders in cases where we are the main contractor.
• Obtain quotes from local and international suppliers.
• Prepare quotes.
• Attend tender briefings, occasionally on site, as and when required.
• Analyse data such as labour costs, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overheads, insurance, mark-up, and any other costs that may affect the contracts.
• Utilise drawings to provide detailed specification cost information when requesting quotes from various suppliers etc.
• Prepare quotes for general telephonic enquiries.
• Provide information to clients on all Company products as and when required.
• Follow up on orders and liaise with the client accordingly.
• Obtain and collate information for tenders.
• Assist Contract Managers with claims as and when required.
• Assist Contract Managers cost advice and price information during all stages of the contract
• Maintaining electronic filing systems on all enquiries

Minimum requirements

• Quantity Surveying degree or National Diploma
• 3- 5 years Bulk earthworks Estimator experience (Post Internship)
• Ms Projects
• Own Transport
• Driver’s Licence
