POSITION INFO:

The primary focus of this role will be to manage the full Health and Safety function. In addition, the role is responsible for the company''s premises, including security and maintenance of the buildings and grounds.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the budget for Health and Safety as well as for the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities. Would be responsible for leading and guiding the Facilities team, the SHE Reps and contractors. Professional management of the company''s Health and Safety portfolio with the intention of obtaining and maintaining ISO 45001 certification. Regular H &S inspections within the facility to ensure conformance to the relevant standards and legislation. This includes firefighting equipment and systems. H&S training of employees, SHE Reps and Management, where necessary. Maintenance of buildings on site, inside and outside, including coordinating of employees and external contractors to complete jobs. Monitoring water supply to the factory and effluent discharge to Municipal line.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Qualification in one of the following would be an advantage: Estate Management, Health and Safety
Would need to be passionate about H&S
Experience to include H&S Management, Estate Management
Experience in an FMCG environment advantageous
Experience with ISO 45001 would be advantageous
Must have a degree of financial literacy to enable creation and adherence to budgets
