English Teaching Vacancies in Oman

SUMMARY:
We require Native English Teachers already based in Oman, and with experience of teaching at Colleges.

POSITION INFO:

We are currently recruiting English Teachers for Colleges in Oman (Middle East), due to the current lockdown travelling restrictions as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic we are only considering candidates already based in Oman.

 

• Start date – no specific start date, this depends on candidate/s availability
• Place of work – : Government Colleges in various cities, the Sultanate of Oman

 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Teaching English and assessing College students
• Working days: 5 Days a week, Sunday to Thursday  

 

Compensation and Benefits - Tax Free

Monthly compensation packages as follows:

• Salary: Up to OMR 875 to OMR 940 equivalent to USD$ 2200 to USD$ 2400 depending on the teacher''s degree and teaching experience
• 2 year contract
• Allowances as follows – housing; transport & medical ranging from OMR 300 to OMR 500 equivalent to USD$780 to USD$1300

• Health Insurance for the teacher
• Air travel and visa for the teacher
• End of contract gratuity
• Annual paid leave 45 to 60 days
• Visa is paid for by Employer
• Candidates pay for their flight from their home country to Oman, transportation from airport will be provided by employer

 

Qualification: 

• BA or B.Ed. in Applied Linguistics/ ELT/ English, and any field relevant to teaching English Language (compulsory requirement) or MA/ M.Ed./ PhD in Applied Linguistics/ English/ TEFL/ TESOL OR any related to Teaching/Education
• 2 years post degree experience teaching English Language in a university or college
• Native English Speakers from the US, Canada, Britain, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, or any other country considered to have Native English language
• Certificate/ diploma in TEFL/ TESOL/ EFL/ ESL/ CELTA, etc if you do have.
