SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

The purpose of this role would be to provide a technical support function to both the Operations and Sales department. This will encompass functions that ensure the smooth running of the production area by providing support when technical difficulties are encountered, ranging from alternate component sources to product reliability issues.

Duties would include:

Technical Support
Production Support
Product testing and evaluation
Creating technical documentation to assist in the supporting of existing products
Component sourcing and evaluation

Requirements:

A minimum of a Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering L.C. (S4 or equivalent) with 2 years work experience
Understanding of microcontroller based digital systems
Understanding of analog components
Able to operate basic test equipment, i.e. Oscilloscopes, multimeters etc
Able to read circuit diagrams and be able to logically trace signals and voltages etc

It would be advantageous to have:

Experience in an electronic engineering environment
Experience in any computer PCD CAD packages such as Protel or Altium
Experience in writing firmware for microcontrollers
