Engineering Mobiles Superintendent Mozambique

POSITION INFO:

A well established and growing Mine urgently seeks a seasoned and experienced ENGINEERING MOBILES SUPERITENDENT with no less than 10 years experience.

Purpose Statement

The position is responsible for planning, coordination and management of all maintenance and repair activities within the heavy and light mobile fleet. The position will ensure the application of best practices and procedures are applied and monitored to ensure a safe, reliable and available mobile fleet throughout its useful life and within budget.

 

Implemented mobile asset management best practice

•             Develop an internal mobile asset management framework (including critical spares and specifying of standards) of technologies, processes, practices, systems and controls aligned to mine planning and production cycle and mobile equipment and vehicle requirements

•             Ensure that appropriate governance mechanisms (i.e. budget parameters, reporting cycles, delegation of authority etc.) are in place, in line with generally accepted mobile asset management practices to manage and monitor mobile asset management activities within the mine. •            Drive and improve on heavy equipment LCC (Life Cycle Costing).

•             Develop and implement management system to ensure that the work force is effectively utilized.

•             Develop training plans in support of company’s goals and strategic objective.

Conduct RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) in light of improvement and cost reduction focus.

                Optimal mobile vehicles and equipment reliability & availability

•             Review mobiles maintenance plan and mining plan for specific weekly and monthly mobile maintenance objectives

                Safety, Health & Environment Best Practice

•             Implement safety awareness and reinforce safe working practices through regular safety meetings, on-the-job safety training and modeling the relevant safety behavior

People excellence

•             Balance, manage and control resources across different disciplines through resource plans executed in line with the constraints of annual planning cycles, operational specifications and organisational resource plans.

Cost efficiency of the Department

•             Budget by weighing up costs, risks and potential returns on expenditure related to workforce, materials, equipment, infrastructure and technology.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University (minimum Diploma).
  2. At least 10 years engineering experience of which 3 years in a leadership position.  Mining experience with special reference to mechanized maintenance. important.

KNOWLEDGE

Mechanical — Knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance within the mechanized field.

Electrical — Knowledge of electrical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
