– Makhado (Louis Trichardt) Limpopo –
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities, Functions and Key Activities:
ØManaging the Engineering and Maintenance function to ensure the attainment of targets.
ØFormulate the engineering budget as per the pre-determined timetables and financial management of this budget thereafter.
ØFormulate and manage a five (5) year rolling capital and maintenance plan in line with the site manufacturing strategy.
ØManaging the Health and Safety system in accordance with the Occupational Health and safety Act.
ØReview and updating of procedures, work instructions and as per the Company requirements.
ØParticipation in HACCP studies and maintain inspection equipment to guarantee product quality and food safety.
ØManaging and Overseeing the Engineering Store.
ØDevelop and implement energy and water saving initiatives and ensure that usage ratios are within specified limits.
ØLeadership of the Productive maintenance (PM) pillars as a form of driving continuous plant improvements using TPM methodology.
ØIdentify and address all critical training and development needs to mobilize staff to perform their functions effectively.
ØPerform continuous due diligence on all engineering systems and processes.
ØPlan, implement and manage projects to meet the agreed timelines while adhering to the planned cost budgets.
ØLiaise with suppliers and contractors.
ØKeeping abreast of new technological developments and identify and implement new technologies that will ensure competitiveness of the plant.
ØEnsure effective and optimum utilization of all resource, inclusive of human resources.
ØPlan, organize and record all maintenance and preventative maintenance activities on the system.
Qualifications required for the position:
ØGrade 12 +
ØBachelor’s Degree/B Tech Degree in either Mechanical /Electrical Engineering/Industrial Engineering
ØGovernment Competency Certificate (GCC) will be added as advantage
ØFive (5) years’ experience preferably within the FMCG or plant environment
ØPrevious experience in Maintenance Planning
