POSITION INFO:

International provider of equipment and systems into the transportation industry including mining, freight rail, etc seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Engineer. Position reports to the MD and is based in Kempton Park.

The right candidate will be responsible for the wing-to-wing ownership of engineering projects that require a solution. You will be the focal point between clients, suppliers, internal experts and designers ensuring that complex technical problems get solved.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years'' experience in an engineering role
• Railway manufacturing experience will be a definite advantage
• Experience on pressure vessels, hydraulics, pneumatics. Brake components and compressors
• Passion to be hands-on involved and get hands dirty
• Professional attitude to build relationships with internal and external clients
• Valid driver''s license

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Represent Engineering functions on-site
• Act as representative to both customers and suppliers
• Act as go-to-person for all site engineering incidents/ concerns
• Support local team to identify and raise design/ engineering concerns raised by customer, supplier or in-house production teams
• Co-ordinate with global teams to find solutions to technical problems
• Weekly and monthly reporting
• Work closely with Engineering teams to find a solution and report

On offer is a package of around R50k per month for the right candidate
