Engineering Executive

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure engineering services are maintained and controlled according to specifications
• Coordinate maintenance teams
• Manage staff and administration of the technical departments
• Foster good relationships with contractors and monitor standards of service, delivery and cost
• Monitor all logged jobs to ensure they are completed within
• Measure staff performance and plan training and development
• Attend to IR related issues
• Comply monthly technical reports
• Ensure optimal operation of Critical Engineering infrastructure services implementing maintenance and operational standards
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors
• Identify critical spare parts and costs
• Authorise orders for sub-contract work and maintenance consumables
• Prepare SLA for contractors and monitor performance
• Manage budgets and maintain asset registers
• Monitor PPM tasks, ensure tasks and schedules are modified, issued on time and captured
• Ensure manuals and data on new items of equipment are stored
• Ensure that drawings and manuals are kept current and “As Built”
• Assist Technical Managers to manage ‘in-house’ mechanical department
• Assist Assistant Technical Services Manager to manage ‘in-house’ electrical department and building services department.
• Manage and liaise with Services Fire, Health and Safety Manager
• Ensure the Technical Managers conducts checks on the maintenance
• Working knowledge of data centres and maintenance requirements of engineering support structures to support data centres:
• Critical cooling of data centres
• Emergency power supplies
• Electrical power distribution both MV and LV
• Critical and comfort environment HVAC systems
• Emergency power distribution systems

 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• BSc Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
• 10 years practical technical and engineering experience
