Engineer (Lean)

Our client in the Automotive industry is looking for a Engineer (Lean) to join their team.

Purpose of the Job:

* To Instill and deploy a culture of lean in all plant processes through identification, coordination and reinforcement of continuous improvement activities with the aim of improving plant efficiency through implementation of lean principles.
* To establish a System thorough out the supply chain in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the company.

Key Performance Areas:
* Implementation and deployment of Lean.
* Conducting on the job (OTJ) trainings in order to sustain the standards of implemented lean tools and techniques.
* Optimize through Time studies and line balancing activities, the layout and flow of processes
* Implement Process Layered confirmations, one-piece flow
* Train and create awareness for Value Stream mapping processes, Kaizen Activities and A3 Projects
* Optimization throughout the operation with focus on reduction of waste in the overall plant
* Develop and Monitor Process Flows with step and element sheets
* Support operations with monitoring performance and members with the aim of process, system and product improvements
* Support the Technical & Process Training of Operations team
* Support operations with tools to aid in Headcount Optimization
* Cost saving initiatives linked to improvements made and realization of plan 25 budget

Key Skills
* Proven track record on continuous improvement projects implementation utilizing lean principles
* Advanced knowledge of Lean Tools and its implementations
* Working knowledge on 5S, Standard work, Kaizens, A3 Project Management, OEE (Overall Equipment efficiency), Gemba, QIP, Line Balancing, VSM, SMED, Lean basics implementation and/or training
* Ability to formulate training material, facilitate and reinforce implementations
* Working Knowledge of Toyota Production System Advantageous
* Knowledge of injection molding processes advantageous
